Iceland and the London protocol

The London protocol also applies to Iceland.

When Iceland became a member of the European Patent Convention (EPC) 1 November 2004, it was simultaneously decided to make the London protocol regarding the translation of patent descriptions applicable. This implies that in EP patents having effect for Iceland only the patent claims are to be translated into Icelandic, when the description is in English.
