Codan
New identity. We protect Codan's new logo.
The British insurance company Royal & SunAlliance has since the beginning of 2008 owned the Codan group. Royal & SunAlliance is amongst the largest international general insurance companies with more than 20 million customers worldwide spread across more than 130 countries.
Chas. Hude has protected Codan's new logo, which was introduced in 2008. Together with new colouring and a new visual identity, the logo has the purpose of underlining the affiliation with Royal & SunAlliance.
New shape
"Codan takes on a new shape". This is how the insurance group presented their new logo in a massive nationwide advertising campaign.
Codan's original blue logo was replaced by a new one with a little gear wheel in purple and pink nuances.
"Our new logo is full of motivation and energy. To us, the little gear wheel in the new logo symbolizes that life is in constant movement and thus changing. Therefore, we see it as our most important job to create the right conditions for our customers to be able to live the life the want the most," says Jeanette Fangel Løgstrup, Chief Communication Officer at Codan.
Protect and watch your brand
Chas. Hude is trademark advisors for Codan and has played a key role in the protection process prior to launching the insurance group's new logo.
"Trademarks are the cornerstone of a company's marketing. Therefore, it is very important to protect your brand through registration of your trademarks in relevant markets. It can be an advantage to watch your trademarks in order to stop those who infringe your rights," Says Ellen Breddam.
